Leaning tower
Mark Hebblewhite and I met up over the weekend to explore the lesser known parts of London. We headed east from Westminster, along the river in the direction of Greenwich, The Dome and the docklands area. It is an area that has over the years become neglected but is now going through a period of rejuvenation, as the Stratford area is being turned into an Olympic utopia.... well it's hard to imagine but that is the plan anyway and to be fair, it's taking shape. We took a walk down to Trinity Buoy Wharf where it's pretty much unchanged with the exception of a few modern media offices. My next sequence of images will all come from this particular area. The image here is manipulated and the first edit I have made in the new Lightroom 2.7. I simply boosted the red channel to bring out the colour in the Lightboat. Initially I tweaked the blue of the sky which looked nice but far too "typical", so instead I pulled the saturation control in the opposite direction to desaturate the sky. The end result is one I like
